Cheese Straws

Does this classic get old - never!  My kids love them.  They make great additions to food tables at teas, showers, birthday parties - you name!  Delish and Easy

1 stick of butter softened
1 1/2 c. flour
1 t. salt
2 c. shredded cheddar cheese ( I use mild)

Preheat oven to 300.

In a mixing bowl, add butter, flour, salt and cheese.  Mix with an electric mix until dough forms.  (If the mixer doesn't cut it - wash your hands and start mushing together).

I think that you need a cookie press with a star tip (if you don't have one - roll into balls like cookies and use a fork to make a criss cross on them).  Anyways, load the dough into your cookie press and pipe out straws.
Bake for 12-15 minutes until done but not brown.  You need to serve within the next 24 hours for best taste.
