We love Satay at Thai restaurants and tried this out and it closely resembles what we have had. It was so good and our girls loved it too! I will be trying a peanut sauce soon : )
1/2 t. ground ginger
5 t. minced garlic
1 12-oz. can of coke
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. fresh cilantro
1/4 c. soy sauce
ground black pepper
1 1/2 lb. flank steak thinly slice against the grain. (ours yielded 22 pieces)
mini wooden skewers
Mix 1st 7 ingredients in a marinating dish. Add meat and soak overnight. Thread meat onto skewers.
Grill a couple of minutes until desired doneness. Serve immediately.
