Rich Frosted Brownies

I have several little things coming up that I needed to bake for so I thought I'd test out this easy recipe for homemade brownies. Yummy, Easy and Homemade.

2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, melted and cooled
1 t. vanilla
2/3 c. all purpose flour
6 T. cocoa powder
1/2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt

Preheat oven to 350. Grease and 8x8 pan. In a small bowl, beat eggs well; gradually beat in sugar. Blend in melted butter and vanilla. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; add to egg mixture, blending thoroughly. Stir in nuts, if desired. Spread batter in prepared pan. Bake 20-25 minutes. Cool completely. Frost. Cut into 16 squares once frosting has set.

Frosting
3 T. butter, softened
3 T. cocoa
1 T. light corn syrup
1/2 t. vanilla
1 c. powdered sugar
1-2 T. milk

In small bowl, cream together butter, cocoa, corn syrup and vanilla. Add sugar and milk. Beat to spreading consistency.
