Quiche Lorraine

I made this the other night for our dinner. I think quiches make good, inexpensive filling dinners.

1 9-inch pie crust

1 onion, chopped
2 T. butter
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c. milk
1/4 t. salt
1/2 lb bacon, cooked and crumbled
8 oz. swiss cheese shredded


Preheat oven to 325.

In skillet, melt butter over medium high heat. Add onion and saute until tender; drain and set aside.

In a large bowl, mix eggs, milk and salt. Stir in bacon and onion. Add cheese; stir well. Pour mix into pie crust. Bake 35-40 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes before serving.
