Mexicali Beef Pie

1 lb. ground beef
taco seasoning packet
1/4 c. water
1 can of black beans, rinsed and drained
1 7 1/2 oz. package of corn bread mix
8oz. can cream corn
1/2 c. sour cream
4 green onions, sliced
1 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese, divided

Brown ground beef. Drain off fat and add taco seasoning, water, and black beans. Cook for 3-4 minutes to thicken up.

Meanwhile, mix cornbread mix according to package directions, add in corn, sour cream, onions, and 1/2 c. cheese.

Spread 1/2 of cornbread batter in deep pie dish. Top with beef mixture, then 1 c. cheddar cheese. Spread remaining batter over meat. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes. Top with sour cream and sliced green onions.
